Top 5 things to do in Frankfurt!
The Römerberg - Frankfurt's Old Town Center
Take a step back in history when visiting this city center that has been around since the 15th century. At the center of this area is the Justice Fountain (Gerechitgkeitsbrunnen) where many people take photographs. There are also many restaurants, art galleries, and churches in the town center worth visiting.
The Old Opera House
Built in 1880, The Old Opera House is one of the city’s most popular concert halls. It was destroyed from WWII, but was rebuild and reopened in 1981. The fountain out front shows for a great photo op!
The Museum District
The Frankfurt Museum District is located on the River Main, right across from the business district, and houses 12 museums. Some of the most popular museums are the Museum of Ancient Sculture, the Film Museum, and the German Architectural Museum.
The Eschenheimer Tower
Started as a city gate during the late-medival fortifications and was built in the early 1400’s. The tower sits at 47-meters high. A casual café is located at the base of the tower for you to enjoy some German beer and homemade kuchen.
Visit Frankfurt’s highest vantage point and take in the views of this gorgeous city. The view deck is located at 200 meters. Also, view some beautiful artwork while in the building. Be sure to look at Stephan Huber’s art, “Frankfurt Stairway XXth Century” which is a massive mosaic of all famous Frankfurt Citizens.
